THE SARGE #1 "Local Music Hero" Out Now on Kindle and GlobalComix — 23-Issue Weekly Comic Series Launches

THE SARGE #1 "Local Music Hero" comic book cover — a caped hero in black tactical gear and green-tinted glasses lunges toward the viewer on a concert stage, a cheering crowd below, a four-piece band playing under stage lights at a Red Rocks-style amphitheater behind him, with the title THE SARGE in distressed white letters and skull motifs above a gold "LOCAL MUSIC HERO" banner. Bottom tagline reads "THE CREW ASSEMBLES."

THE SARGE #1: LOCAL MUSIC HERO is officially out. The first issue of the 23-issue weekly comic series from The Sarge LLC dropped Saturday, October 4, 2026 — available now on Kindle and free to read on GlobalComix, with a $3 digital edition on itch.io. One new issue lands every Sunday through March 7, 2027, and Season 2 is already in the works for an early 2027 announcement.

Readers have three doors in. The Kindle edition is live now for $2.99 — built for phones, tablets, and e-readers, DRM-free, the way comics should be. What "Local Music Hero" is about

Every superhero has an origin. This one starts in Colorado Springs.

LOCAL MUSIC HERO introduces THE SARGE — U.S. Army Infantry veteran turned hip-hop and pop-punk-rock artist, producer, and sound designer — in the opening chapter of a growing adventure where he and his colleagues fight a different kind of battle: helping local artists navigate the music industry. No capes-for-show heroics. The villains here are the real ones independent artists face every day — locked doors, gatekeepers, bad contracts, and a system built to keep local talent local forever.

Issue #1 sets the board. THE SARGE assembles his crew, and the tagline says it all: THE CREW ASSEMBLES.

The crew: real artists, real stories

This isn't fiction floating free of reality. The series is built on the real Colorado music scene Sarge has worked in for over a decade — the same stages, the same grind, the same family. Readers will recognize the world of BUST OUT THE BOX, the monthly multi-genre residency Sarge runs at Wagon Wheel Sports Bar & Concert Hall in Colorado Springs, and the artists who've come up through it.

The series bible runs deep: Anti Famouz, Sarge's co-promoter and right hand; P Creepy, his best friend and horrorcore partner; Lil Chin, Austin Toker, DROC, Chloe Killz, Hazadis, CU$H, XO RECKLE$$ — a full roster of Colorado artists whose real stories fuel the fiction. Each issue pulls from the actual journey of independent artists: the showcases, the studio sessions, the politics, the wins nobody hands you.

That's the mission baked into every page. As the series tagline puts it: THEY CONTROL THE DOORS. THE SARGE TEACHES ARTISTS HOW TO BUILD THEIR OWN.

23 issues, one every week

This is a real serialized run, not a one-shot. The full Season 1 spread is 23 issues, releasing every Sunday: Issue #1 "Local Music Hero" — October 4, 2026 (out now) — with a new issue every Sunday through Issue #23 on March 7, 2027.

Weekly serialization is the oldest trick in comics for a reason — it builds a habit, it builds a community, and it gives readers something to come back for. Every issue advances the crew's fight through the music industry machine, with the stakes rising issue by issue. The Kindle editions land at $2.99 each with no DRM; the GlobalComix editions stay free to read.

Season 2 is already in the works

Here's the news-within-the-news: Season 2 is already being built, with an official announcement scheduled for early next year. The next chapter — CHAPTER II: ILLUMINOS — takes the crew up against a fictional secret organization that controls the doors of the industry itself, and the fight gets bigger, stranger, and more personal. Seven heroes. One architect pulling the strings. The full master plan is mapped from issues #24 through #36.

If Season 1 is about learning the game, Season 2 is about changing it.

Why a comic?

Because the music industry doesn't teach — it filters. Sarge has spent 10+ years running shows and residencies across the Front Range, from Royal Castle and the Black Sheep to Sunshine Studios and Denver's Roxy Theater. He's booked national acts, built stages from nothing, and watched talented local artists stall out — not for lack of talent, but for lack of a map.

THE SARGE is the map, drawn as an adventure. It's entertainment first — capes, crews, villains, the works — but every issue carries the real lessons: how the business actually moves, who really holds the keys, and how independent artists build their own doors instead of begging at someone else's. It's the same "Stay Different" creed Sarge has lived since his Army days, now in full color.

For the Colorado Springs scene, it's also a mirror. Readers will see their venues, their struggles, and their people in these pages — because the series was built from them.

How to follow the series

New issues drop every Sunday. The fastest way to never miss one: follow the series on GlobalComix, grab the Kindle editions as they land, and watch The Sarge LLC channels for Season 2 news as the early-2027 announcement approaches.

The crew has assembled. The doors are marked. Issue #1 is live — go read it.

Stay Different.
