THE SARGE: Colorado Springs Hip-Hop and Pop-Punk-Rock Artist Builds an Independent Brand From the Ground Up

October 23, 2026

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — THE SARGE — hip-hop and pop-punk-rock artist, producer, sound designer, and CEO of The Sarge LLC — has built one of Colorado Springs' most active independent music brands from the ground up: a Billboard Hip Hop and HipHopSince1987.com featured/published artist, a promoter with 10+ years running shows and residencies, a college-educated audio professional, and now a full-time music major giving back to the next generation of artists in his own city. His monthly multi-genre residency, BUST OUT THE BOX at Wagon Wheel Sports Bar & Concert Hall in Colorado Springs, is currently in its second year and approaching its thirteenth edition. His current charity showcase, BUST OUT THE BOX #13: UCCS MUSIC NIGHT on Saturday, November 21, 2026, is raising $25,000 for the UCCS Music Department — a campaign recently covered by UCCS News. The Climb: Service, Setbacks, and a Decision to Build Before the stage name, there was the rank. Michael K. Ung served as a U....

Chloe Killz Update for Bust Out The Box #12 THE DEVILS NIGHT — Colorado Springs, October 30, 2026

October 22, 2026

Colorado Springs, get the official word here first. Bust Out The Box #12 — THE DEVILS NIGHT — takes over Wagon Wheel Sports Bar & Concert Hall on Friday, October 30, 2026, headlined by Assassinate. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Chloe Killz has announced she will not be able to perform at this year's show. We are announcing the change now, openly and honestly, because our supporters deserve to hear it straight from The Sarge LLC. Why Chloe Killz Cannot Make October 30 Chloe Killz is not only a performing artist — she also runs the Roxy Theatre in Denver, Colorado. A Roxy concert headlining Amanda Perez was previously cancelled after Amanda Perez suffered a stroke. The Roxy has now moved that concert to October 30, and the venue was unable to set any other date for it. As the person running the Roxy, Chloe has to be in Denver that night, holding down her own room on the only night the rescheduled show can happen. The conflict is unavoidable, and it has nothing to do with t...

Why The Sarge Is Raising $25,000 for the UCCS Music Department — And Why It's Not About Him

October 11, 2026

The GoFundMe to raise $25,000 for the UCCS Music Department is live now, tied to Bust Out the Box #13: UCCS Music Night on Saturday, November 21 at the Wagon Wheel in Colorado Springs. The Sarge wants to thank everyone who's already donated — and he wants to be clear about one thing upfront: this is not a personal cause. It's a community cause. And it's bigger than him. This Wasn't UCCS's Idea. It Was His. Let's be straight about something: UCCS isn't out here asking for donations. He is. Sarge took the initiative to launch this fundraiser himself, because the math is simple — if the music department could get what it needs through normal channels, it would have gotten it already. It hasn't. So he stepped up and built the fundraiser around the November 21 charity showcase he's already producing. That's how this works with him. He sees a gap, he builds the thing.
