GoFundMe Is Live: Help Us Raise $25,000 for the UCCS Music Department

The GoFundMe is LIVE — I'm raising $25,000 for the UCCS Music Department, and 100% of every single dollar goes straight to them. Donate here to help us raise $25,000 for UCCS Music.

Why UCCS — This One's Personal

UCCS has been an amazing part of my life so far. I'm a music major there. I sing with Pitch Peak, the a cappella group. I'm the music student administration officer. The UCCS Music Department gave me a home — a place where a U.S. Army Infantry veteran could walk in and become a student of music, surrounded by people who live and breathe this craft every single day.

Every year, I try to do a charity event. That's just what I do — if I've got a stage, I'm putting it to work for somebody. This year, I'm donating to them. The department that took me in, that sharpened me, that believed a soldier could become a musician — this one's for them.

Where Every Dollar Goes

One hundred percent of proceeds collected will be donated directly to the UCCS Music Department. Instruments. Scholarships. Program support. Whatever the department needs most to keep building the next generation of Colorado musicians. No middlemen, no cuts, no fine print — every dollar lands where it belongs.

The Show: Bust Out The Box #13 — UCCS Music Night

Saturday, November 21, 7 PM to midnight at the Wagon Wheel Sports Bar & Concert Hall in Colorado Springs. 18 and up, valid ID required.

We're building an ALL-UCCS-music-student lineup — every single performer on that stage is a UCCS music student, showcasing their musical talents across every genre you can name: jazz, EDM, R&B, hip hop, rock, indie, and more. The UCCS Jazz Band. Brometheus. DitchNymph. Ambi. Aspen Sound. Juaniee. And yours truly, The Sarge.

This isn't a recital. This is a full concert night — a real stage, a real crowd, drink specials all night and a mocktail menu for under 21. These students are the real deal, and on November 21 they get the spotlight they deserve while we raise money for the department that trained them.

Toys and Collectibles Drive

We're doubling down on the giving. At the show, we're running a toys and collectibles drive — bring a toy or collectible and help us make a difference in our community. All donations benefit D11 Palmer High School and D11 Wasson High School. Come for the music, leave knowing you put something real into the holidays for local kids.

How You Can Help

Three ways, pick your lane:

Donate. Chip in on the GoFundMe to help us hit $25,000 for UCCS Music. Every dollar counts, and every dollar goes to the department.

Share. Send the GoFundMe to one person who believes in music education. One share from you reaches rooms I'll never walk into. That's how we win.

Pull up November 21. $20 at the door, $5 for all UCCS students, with discounted presale tickets on Eventbrite all month. Bring a toy for the D11 drive. Bring your people. Let's pack the Wagon Wheel and show these students what this city feels like when it shows up.

UCCS gave me a home. Now I'm throwing the biggest thank-you I know how — a stage, a crowd, and $25,000 worth of love for the department. Let's do this, Colorado Springs.

Stay Different,
The Sarge
